Mean Tweets
A man on Twitter recently told me I need to “grow the hell up.” Well, I think it was a man. His avatar is an egg. His tweet was in response to my comment about a photograph that aired on local news. The picture showed a police officer carrying a limp baby out of a burning house. The infant was wearing a diaper, covered in soot and bleeding from the ankle. As a reporter I struggled with stories like these. Now, I don’t have to worry about ratings. Anyway, I am sure that won’t be the last time I am insulted on Twitter. Thank God I am not a celebrity. They get hammered. I love Jimmy Kimmel’s segment where actors, actresses, etc. read mean tweets. This made me laugh out loud:
