I feel like I am stepping into a 1980’s Madonna video every time I drop my son off to school. There are girls with sweatshirts hanging off their shoulder and boys wearing neon shirts. I got an email yesterday from a clothing company inviting me to “get in on the neon color craze.” Bitch, please! We were the trend setters. You are looking at a girl who had neon jelly shoes to match every shirt. I rocked jelly bracelets from my wrist to elbow. Skinny jeans are nothing new either. The only difference is we used safety pins or a creative roll.
