Here kitty, kitty

There are so many reasons to love New York. The sights, food and Chinese women yelling “Gucci, Prada, Coach” as you walk down the street. Here is another reason. You can run to a convenience store at any hour to get a beverage, snack and pet a cat. For my children this would be the most memorable moment of the trip. They are not here. Call me crazy, but I don’t want a kitty sitting on a counter near the soda fountain.

I am having a great time, but I miss my babies already. I am in a quiet hotel room and cannot sleep. I’m wondering if my son shut off his TV and whether my daughter needs a blanket. Isn’t it crazy how that works. You long for a moment alone, but once you leave the silence is deafening.
