I saw the sign

The news is quick to report a shooting on a college campus. If it bleeds it leads. I wish more stations would cover stories like this. A student at Genesee Community College in Batavia, NY stands in the atrium once or twice a week holding a sign. He isn’t trying to sell anything.
The sign wasn’t made on a computer.
In fact, there isn’t anything fancy or high-tech about it. The handwriting is a little sloppy, but the message is perfect.

Sometimes he stands with a friend, but on this day he was all alone. Each sign has a different inspirational saying. When asked if he was doing this for a class project the student answered, “No. I just want to make people smile.” I am sure there are students who snicker when they pass by. Hopefully, a few will read it and just smile.
