The Bubble Man

I met The Bubble Man. No, not a Vegas impersonator. The real deal. What? You don’t know who The Bubble Man is? This is a person who has dedicated his life to making bubbles. He was in town this weekend for a big show. The Bubble Man created snowman bubbles, caterpillar bubbles, dancing bubbles. He stuck his hand inside bubbles without popping them. My 4-year-old son was bursting with excitement. The crowd went nuts when he put smoke in the bubbles.

I don’t know if this guy was born into a bubble blowing family. Perhaps his mother was an expert blower. Um, bad choice of words. Maybe his father could blow like nobody else. Worse? You get my point. I imagine the family sitting on the front porch practicing day and night. Then, at an early age, The Bubble Man, much like penguins, was forced to leave his parents. So, he decided to take his show on the road.

I would describe The Bubble Man as a cross between Mr. Noodle and Rainn Wilson. The kids laughed at his silly jokes and mannerisms. The lady in front of me kept scooting over to get a better look. I guess she doesn’t get out much. I know what you’re thinking The Bubble Man must be a hit with the ladies. What woman wouldn’t be attracted to a man who has 20 bubble wands. The Bubble Man is laughing all the way to the bank. He gets paid an appearance fee and his only overhead his soap and distilled water. I suppose even if he doesn’t make much money he could just make bubble dollars.
