Heartbreaking

My heart is racing watching the news of a mass shooting at an elementary school in Connecticut. There are reports of at least 26 people dead including 20 children. It it beyond comprehension how anyone could do something like this. I volunteered in my 5-year-old’s classroom yesterday. At this age children are so innocent. They take joy in things we take for granted. I can’t stop thinking about how scared the children inside the Connecticut school must have been. Were they coloring, learning the alphabet, or reading a story when this monster entered the school? We drop our children off at school and trust they will be safe. I am confident the gunman will rot in hell. I am praying for the families of the people killed. May God bless the sweet, innocent angels entering the gates of Heaven.
